Presiding Elder Johnny R. Calhoun was appointed by the Rt. Rev. James Levert Davis, Presiding Bishop of the Second Episcopal District, on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. The district is comprised of 40 churches from Baltimore to Stafford Virginia and from Annapolis to Frostburg Maryland.

The Capital District is one of ten Presiding Elder Districts in the Second Episcopal District. There are two districts within the Washington Conference, the Capital, and the Potomac.
